Naval Career & Service
Two Decades in the U.S. Navy
During his naval career, Dr. Vandervort served as an oral surgeon on missions supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Southern Watch, treating service members onboard USS Kitty Hawk and USS George Washington. He later directed residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
Volunteer Surgical Care
Since joining Loudoun Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Vandervort has volunteered his surgical skills to Northern Virginia Dental Clinic and Chesapeake Care Clinic.
Family & Community
Dr. Vandervort is dedicated to his community and is a proud father of three. He and his wife, Lisa, have been together since high school, and he enjoys spending his free time with family, gardening, and playing guitar.
